Mini Restoration: Mini Van Restoration

It’s rare to get to undertake a Mini restoration on a Mini van so this was a project we really enjoyed working on.

This 1974 Mini van had been in the same family for over 30 years. Originally coloured Teal Blue, the original 850cc engine had been removed a number of years ago and had a 998cc fitted for that extra power.

The Mini van was completely stripped back to the bare shell with lots of previous repairs visible. It was fully re-panelled using genuine heritage panels and M machine floor pan, hinge panels, steps and lower sides.

The van was then resprayed tweed grey with black roof and fully rebuilt with all new running gear.

Lastly, the 850cc engine was stripped back and recommissioned, rolling road turned as is now back on the road for owner Steve Ellis and his dad who was the previous owner.
