The Real Mini Company Working With Local Community
/Mini restoration specialists The Real Mini Company have been working closely within the local community offering work experience placements at their Oxfordshire-based workshop.
Business owner Daniel Budd sees offering youngsters the opportunity to gain new skills as a worthwhile task which benefits both parties. "Young people need as much help as possible these days if they are going to get a decent job" says Dan. "Experience is key and if we are able to help youngsters gain that experience then we are providing a worthwhile service.
It's also a great opportunity for us because if these kids show promise then they could well be back here working with us in the future so everybody benefits."
The Real Company have had several young members of the local community through their doors in the past few months and are looking at offering experience for several more very soon.
"I was lucky in that our family has been involved with mini's and mini racing for years so I grew up learning about the mechanics of the cars and was able to use that knowledge later when starting The Real Mini Company. Not everyone has had that opportunity so I believe what we're doing here is really worthwhile."
